Music won with rain. Etnobaltica 2021

Janusz Prusinowski Kompania, Adam Strug, Wowakin Trio and The Academy of Voices of Tradition – these are just some of the outstanding artists from Polish who celebrated the 3rd edition of the EtnoBaltica Festival with their concerts. In addition, a very interesting offer for children, namely EthnoWioska or symbolic theatrical epilogue: a performance four miles per stove performed by the Puppet Lord Theatre. These were beautiful days with beautiful music. Nearly 1,500 people played with us at the festival.

The 3rd edition of the EtnoBaltica festival was very impressive. Once again, it was confirmed that it is one of the most important events in the region depicting music from the circle of folk and ethno. The scale and scale of the project and the artistic quality of the next three days of the festival – and individual concerts – also make it possible to say once again without any doubt that this is a very important event also on a national scale.

Three July days were full of changing weather, but the atmosphere, excellent music and sensational reactions of the audience were constant – both in intimate singing workshops in small halls and outdoors. It was colorful, diverse, insanely interesting.

On Friday, piotr Piszczatowski and Mateusz Kowalski started the festival with folk dance workshops, which prepared all participants for dance with the music of the Wowakin Trio, while on Tuesday the day was full of impressions from the morning. Ewa Grochowska and Paweł Grochocki conducted traditional singing workshops, which submitted work on the correct technique of singing with an open voice, natural emission, or the performance and expression of Polish traditional songs. The youngest festival-goers were pleasantly welcomed by the Puppet Lord Theatre, which presented a performance entitled "Four miles per stove". In addition, for all 3 days of the festival there were unusual workshops in Etno children's village. Janusz Prusinowski Kompania and Tęgie Chłopy played the dance, who kidnapped all the participants to dance. During the second day of the festival there was also a run after the Swołów Oval, and a discussion panel with Ewa Grochowska "Memory wanders with people – about the transformation of musical traditions after World War II".

The third and final day of the festival was also very exciting. There was a bicycle rally organized by a friendly association "Spoke". Lunove band – the winner of the 2020 Ethno Swołowo Folk Band Review, performed on the EtnoBaltica stage and moved everyone to dance and even tears. After a beautiful performance by the artists, the Academy of Voices of Tradition took everyone on a journey Polish and presented the most beautiful folk songs.

The festival was ended in an unusual style by Adam Strug, who touched many hearts.

The unique atmosphere, excellent food, great music and the beef magic of the land capital of Plaid - this is what this year's edition looked like in a nutshell.
